Bicyclist Ian M. Wolfe of Bethesda around 11:15 p.m. on Sunday was hit by a car on a crosswalk on Maine Avenue and killed. No one is sure whose fault it is and currently the U.S. Park Police is investigating the death.
Thankfully the driver did not just hit and run, but stopped immediately after hitting the bicyclist. The person, who is not named, was driving a Toyota Corolla was going through a green light intersection where they hit Ian Wolfe. Charges so far are not being filed against the driver.
According to reports, 24 year-old Ian Wolfe was taken to the hospital where he was soon pronounced dead. The apparent accident appeared within the bounds of West Potomac Park near Tidal Basin Parking place.
So far their have been several battles online claiming the cyclist Ian M. Wolfe was at fault with supposed members of Wolfe's family coming to argue with them online. Hopefully instead of pointing fingers people learn to just grieve the young man's death. (c) tPC
