T.R. Knight, Katherine Heigl To Stick With Grey's Anatomy
by Staff

Grey's Anatomy stars Katherine Heigl and T.R. Knight are not leaving the hit U.S. hospital drama, despite earlier reports to the contrary.

The pair have played doctors Izzie Stevens and George O'Malley on the hospital drama since it first aired in 2005, but according to their co-star, actor, James Pickens Jr., the actors had chosen to end their run.

Pickens told Usmagazine.com, "Yes, she (Heigl) is (leaving). Wherever Katherine goes, I wish her nothing but the best."

He added, "(Knight is) going too. He just wanted to pursue other career paths."

But there is hope for fans now, as producer Shonda Rhimes said they both will return in the future to reprise their roles.

According to press reports, Rhimes told the press at Thursday night's NAACP Image Awards, "That was a very interesting rumor. And it's not true."

A source told Usmagazine, "Writers are scrambling to find a believable exit for George, one that would leave the door open for him to come back someday."

Rhimes told reporters the remarks were "taken out of context" and that the two actors were staying put. (c) WENN
