There was a planned appearance for 16-year-old teen pop sensation Justin Bieber at a NY mall. Things went from great to terrible as fans surged forward to get an autograph from the boy.
One of the girls was being crushed against one of the barriers and the young singer tried to come to the aid of her.
Police saw the angry mob of screaming teen girls getting out of control, fans were losing patience to see Bieber. The police had no choice but to shut down the mall as thousands of fans waited for Bieber. The police asked the singer's manager to send out a twitter message canceling the event.
New York prosecutors said it took Braun more than an hour to send a message; Braun's lawyers shot back saying he did it in just 7 minutes after police told him to.
Now Braun has been arrested and could face a year in prison if the conviction charges of reckless endangerment and criminal nuisance is proved true. Braun is expected to plead not guilty according to his lawyers. (c) tPC
