British magazine Hello! has been ordered to pay rival glossy Ok! £10 million ($20 million) after they published unauthorised photos of Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones' wedding.
The Hollywood stars had signed a photo deal with Ok! for exclusive coverage of their November 2000 wedding at the New York City ceremony.
Just before the wedding edition of Ok! hit the shelves, Hello! published grainy images of the wedding, which had been taken in secret by an unauthorised person.
After a lengthy legal battle through several courts, Britain's highest court The House Of Lords ruled yesterday (12Jun07) that Hello! must pay £10 million in legal costs and damages.
In earlier court hearings, Zeta-Jones said she had felt "violated" and "devestated, shocked and appalled" when she saw the unauthorised images. (c) WENN
