Bob Barker 87-Years-Old - What is He Doing Now?
by Staff

Robert William "Bob' Barker was born on December 12, 1923. He is 87-years-old and was the 'Price Is Right' host from 1972 to 2007.

Barker has been a huge and long-time supporter of animal rights and animal rights activism. He is part of the two groups United Activists for Animal Rights and the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society.

So what's the 87-year-old retired host been doing?

In march 2010, PETA announced that he donated $2.5 million to help establish an office in L.A.

On September 17, 2010 Barker collapsed at a LA shooting range. He was treated for an adverse drug reaction and was released that same day.

On August 9, 2011, Barker donated $230,000 to an organization that was going to give 5 chimps left behind at a facility that went bankrupt a home.

Barker however, hasn't had a scandal free career. In 1994 former model Dian Parkinson who was a hostess on 'The Price is Right' filed a lawsuit against Barker for sexual harassment. Parkinson claimed that Barker threatened to fire her if she broke up their three-year-long sexual affair. Parkinson however withdrew the claims in 1995 because it had "taken a toll on her health."

In 1995, Barker was sued for sexual harassment and sex discrimination by production assistants Sherrill Paris and Sharon Friem on the Price Is Right. Both women received financial settlements.

It hasn't always been rosy for Barker, but he handed off 'The Price Is Right' to Drew Carey in 2007. (c) tPC
