Michael Jordan divorce $168 million, Karla Knafel lawsuit
by Tashi Singh

Michael Jordan divorce $168 million and Karla Knafel lawsuit. Michael and Juanita Jordan got married in Las Vegas in 1989, after he had spent only five years in the NBA.

A year later they had a "post-nuptial" agreement drafted that gave her access to half Mike's fortune.

He probably did not realize what he was signing away, since the $168 million she won in their 2007 divorce represented only one-third of his overall net worth.

By the time the ink would dry on the settlement, Jordan would say that all he wanted was to get on with his life, and his wife had already become involved with a banker 20 years her junior.

Karla Knafel and Jordan fought it out in court in 2002 after she alleged that Jordan agreed to pay her $5 million when he retired from basketball to keep her mouth shut about their affair.
