Vanessa Williams was crowned in 1983 as Miss America 1984.

Williams lost her Miss America crown back in 1984 for posing nude for Penthouse. Penthouse magazine waited one year before publishing them.

They weren't just nude photos, but an edgy (for the time) girl/girl series of pics with a white girl where sex acts were simulated, including what appears to be a 'rim job', among others.

The main problem was that the photos were during Vanessa Williams' reign as the first black Miss America. The reaction to the pictures was shock. She resigned.
