Bubba Watson Won't Play In Wells Fargo Event
by Staff

Masters champion Bubba Watson won't play in the Wells Fargo Championship next month because he wants to spend more time with his family, officials said Tuesday.

Tournament officials announced Watson's withdrawal on Twitter.

"We will miss him and completely understand his need to be with them," the tweet said.

Watson defeated Louis Oosthuizen in a playoff at the Masters this month to win his first major title.

The Wells Fargo Championship will be contested at Quail Hollow Club May 3-6. (c) UPI
