Famous leap day birthdays (Photos) and possible leap babies born to celebs
by Toshiba Reynolds

February 29 is known for being Leap Day. Birthdays of famous folks and some historical events also took place on this day. The chances of being born on February 29, which only comes around every four years, are very slim.

"The law of averages means your chance of being born on Feb. 29 are one out of 1,461," said the founder of the Honor Society of Leap Year Day Babies, explaining that 1,461 equals 365, or the number of days in the year, times four, plus one for the extra day in the four-year cycle. "We figure in the U.S., there's about 200,000 of us, and in the world, about 5 million."

The odds that you will be born on February 29 AND become famous? Very, very small. But a batch of pregnant celebrities just may give birth to some very unique kids. See below.

We'll also take a look at some of the odds-beating Leap Year babies who made it big in Hollywood, sports or business.
