by Mike BaronSandra Bullock purchases New Orleans home (PHOTOS) for $2.25 million; has ballroom, swimming pool. Oscar-winning actress Sandra Bullock moved into this New Orleans, Lousiana house, a Gothic-Victorian mansion in the Garden District, with her newly adopted son, Louis.
Bullock and her ex-husband Jesse James, of American Chopper fame, purchased the home in 2010 for $2.25 million, before their infamous and messy split.
While the property may not look terribly extravagant on the outside, once inside, it becomes a vision of eclectic old world delight.
The mansion covers an astonishing 6,615 square feet, and boasts 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, along with refurbished with marble mantelpieces and antique mouldings.
Outside there is a lavish swimming pool with barbeque area to keep all guests entertained.
