Scarlett Johansson Does Barack Obama Music Video
by Staff

Scarlett Johansson sings in a new music video supporting US presidential candidate Barack Obama.

The 'Lost in Translation' actress joined her fellow stars, including Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger and Wyclef Jean in lending her voice to promotional video 'Yes, We Can' to drum up votes for the Democrat politician.

Scarlett, Nicole and Wyclef are the latest stars to show their support for Obama, following in the footsteps of Oprah Winfrey, Stevie Wonder, Brad Pitt and George Clooney.

In a rally held in Los Angeles on Sunday (03.02.08), talk show host Oprah spoke about her decision to vote for Obama, who could become the first black US President.

She said: "I'm just following my own truth, and that truth has led me to Barack Obama." Obama is up against fellow Democrat candidate Hillary Clinton, who has received her own star support.

Jack Nicholson, Barbra Streisand, America Ferrera and Danny DeVito are all behind Clinton, whose husband Bill occupied the White House for eight years.

Actors Tom Selleck, Rip Torn and California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger are all supporting Republican candidate John McCain, while Donny and Marie Osmond are backing the party's other leading candidate Mitt Romney.

All the candidates are eagerly awaiting today's (05.02.08) primary election results, which is known in political terms as 'Super Tuesday'.

Voters in 24 states - the highest amounts of states to vote at this stage of the elections - will decide which candidate they want to run for president.

The final elections, to determine the next US President, will take place this November. (c) BANG
