Globalism in the New World Order? Stop the World, Let me Off!
by John Lillpop
Mar 26, 2006

Remember "Made in the USA?" Americans used to look for that label when shopping. "Buy American!" was encouraged as a way to show national pride.

But things have changed. Now, Japanese and Koreans make our cars. Indians trouble-shoot our computers, help us untangle confusing bank statements, even prepare our income tax returns. Mexican nationals come here illegally to clean  homes and pick fruit.

Even homeland security is no longer home grown: If President Bush had been able to prevail, port security in several eastern seaboard cities would be managed by the UAE.  Even now, the administration is trying to outsource cargo scanning  to a Hong Cong concern, reportedly one with ties to communist China.

Next to  kissing babies and making undeliverable campaign promises, politicians used to rely on America First! rhetoric to curry favor with the electorate. In today's America, such tactics can cause one to be labeled Xenophobic and/or racist----by colleagues in ones own party!

Diversity, multi-cultural ism and political correctness have replaced Yankee Ingenuity, the American Way, and Proud to Be An American in the minds of many, particularly liberals. This is NOT progress, in my view.

Globalism in the New World Order. Who needs it?
