Hurricane Sandy Web Cams; Live Video of Super "Frankenstorm Nor'ricane." Hurricane Sandy is currently a category 1 "Nor'ricane" that blasted its way through the Bahamas and has been sliding up the eastern seaboard.

Sandy is a large and dangerous system and poses a major threat to portions of the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. Residents from New England to New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia should have already prepared for Sandy.

The latest projected path takes the center of Sandy into the Northeast coast between Cape May and Point Pleasant, New Jersey.

Storms that originate in colder climates are called cold core storms. Tropical storms and Hurricanes, as they move into colder water, often transition into a cold core storm.
