Sgt. Pat Shearer removed the photo but it can still be found on various websites. The shirt they young men were holding said "Obama" and "Hope" on it. The group appeared to be standing in the Arizona desert
Fox News reported that one of the boys is a high school student. The other men have not yet been identified.
Shearer is under investigation because a photo like this is against the Peoria Police Department's social media policy handbook. The handbook states that one must never do anything publicly that would embarrass the city or the police department.
Does it mean these young men want to shoot Obama? Most likely not. Our freedoms and liberties allow us to express ourselves however we want as long as we don't tread on another person. However, it's inappropriate to upload such photos on Facebook for the world to publicly see it.
Should Shearer be fired? (c) tPC
