Karl Lagerfeld $37,500 collar (PHOTO). Chanel’s creative director, Karl Lagerfeld has designed a unique black diamond and emerald collar for Net-a-Porter that retails for $37,500.

“I’m renowned for my love of a high collar and I wanted to create a true collector’s item with this one-off piece,” Lagerfeld told Vogue UK.

The neckpiece is handcrafted from metallic-black suede, edged with pavé black diamonds and embellished with a dazzling hydrothermal emerald.

The piece will be on display from June 28th – July 4th at the the Brilliant exhibition of diamonds at Masterpiece London, accompanied by a hand-signed sketch from the icon himself. Go here for more and the photo.
