by Toshiba Reynolds

Janet Jackson is reportedly being tested for throat Cancer. Music superstar Janet Jackson said she is taking a break from her Unbreakable concert tour to deal with an undisclosed health issue in December.

The 49-year-old recording artist made the announcement on her Facebook Page.

"Hey you guys... Happy Holidays to each and every one of you. I need you to know, I learned today, from my doctors that I must have surgery soon," Jackson's Christmas Eve post reads.

"It breaks my heart to tell you that I am forced to postpone the Unbreakable until the spring. Every date will be rescheduled. Please hold on to your tickets. They will be honored in a special way when the new schedule is announced. Please pray for me, my family and our entire company during this difficult time. There will be no further comment. I love you all so much and am ever grateful for your understanding and your love. Gon' b alright."
According to RadarOnline report, a potentially cancerous tumor was discovered on her throat.

"Doctors found a growth on Janet's vocal cords that could be serious," a source close to the 49-year-old "Control" singer told RadarOnline. "It's a medical condition that has to be taken care of immediately."

Right before New Year's Eve, Janet posted a special message to her fans on Instagram, asking them to "pray" for her.

"Hey you guys… Happy Holidays to each and every one of you. I need you to know, I learned today, from my doctors that I must have surgery soon. It breaks my heart to tell you that I am forced to postpone the Unbreakable Tour until the spring," Janet wrote.

"Every date will be rescheduled. Please hold on to your tickets. They will be honored in a special way when the new schedule is announced. Please pray for me, my family and our entire company during this difficult time. There will be no further comment. I love you all so much and am ever grateful for your understanding and your love. Gon' b alright," she continued.

There has not been an official confirmation from Janet or her team, but we'll keep the pop singing legend in our thoughts and prayers. Jackson had been touring since late summer in support of her 11th studio album, which debuted in the fall.
