Denying they were ever an item and that the press is just doing it's usual romantic pairing of co-stars, MTV hottie hostess Vanessa Minnillo is laughing off gossip news that she's secretly dating Nick Lachey, saying everyone is taking their music video romance too far, according to published reports.
The sexy brunette has been romantically linked to Lachey for the past two months, but she insists they're just good friends. Jessica Simpson and her marriage to Lachey ended late last year, and he's been linked with more than one female since then.
Minnillo, who appears as Lachey's love interest in his new video, "What's Left of Me", says:
"I've known him for years and he's a friend and I admire his work ... and, of course, you know how the biz goes -- as soon as I worked with him, now, all of a sudden, we're dating! No! We're not dating."
"I'm sorry guys, you've gotta find a new girl to pick fun at."
Sounds like she means it.
