Shields On Katie Holmes, Tom Cruise: "I'm Happy For You"
by Mitch Marconi
May 2, 2006

Actress Brooke Shields is making an effort to wipe the slate clean with actor Tom Cruisse by going public with her best 'baby' wishes, according to a published report.

Cruise, who is a Scientologist, slammed Brooke Shields back in 2005 for glorifying the use of prescription drugs to assist new mothers in managing post-partum depression.

The actor blasted Shields during an appearance he made on TV for her public comments regarding her post-partum depression and how the anti-depressants prescribed really helped her through it.

Ironically, these two stars' babies were both born on the same day and in the same hospital on 18 April, and since that day, Shields decided to forgive Tom Cruise and disregard the comments he made towards her.

Speaking on TV show Entertainment Tonight, the mother of two said, "It's (having a baby) the best gift you could have, so I'm really happy for them.  How could I not be?"

Shields confessed that she isn't going through the same depression issues with her new baby Grier as she did with her 2-year-old daughter Rowan when she was born.

Speaking at the Hollywood premiere of new film 'Over The Hegde' (4-30-06), she bragged, "She's a delight, really healthy... You wouldn't have seen me at a premiere with the last one (baby)."
