by Mitch Marconi
Jun 3, 2006

Brad Pitt's parents arrived in Namibia via private plane on Friday to greet their new granddaughter Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt, according to published reports.

In stark contrast, Jolie's estranged father Jon Voight, appeared on MSNBC on Thursday and extended his best wishes to the couple.

Voight said, "I'm almost unable to describe how deeply happy I am for her (Shiloh's) parents and so happy to have this new little one in the world."

Voight hasn't sent Shiloh a baby gift, saying, "This little one can have anything she wants of me, of course ... As she grows older, hopefully I'll be able to give her everything that I've got."

The 'Deliverance' star is desperate to talk with his daughter Jolie and be an active grandfather in the near future.

"I'm always trying to reach her and send her my love but I still haven't spoken to her ... I wish somebody would help me and give her a call," Voight lamented recently.
