Madonna has reportedly ended her friendship with Britney Spears because the 'Toxic' singer has quit her commitment to the mystical religion known as the Kabbalah.
Pop's reigning queen, who was largely responsible for enlightening Spears to the ways of the mystical Jewish cult, has allegedly demanded that the Pop-Tart return the 12th Century Kabbalah book she gave the Britney as a wedding gift.
According to a source in Britain's Hot Stars magazine: "Madonna spent months teaching Britney the Kabbalah system, and splashed out thousands on the ancient scripture for her. She feels she has wasted time, money and precious gifts on Brit."
Britney, who is 24, unceremoniously quit the Kabbalah recently with an announcement on her website that stated caring for her son Sean Preston was her new calling.
The message read: "I no longer study Kabbalah, my baby is my religion."
