Urinary tract infection treatment with water, medication. A urinary tract infection or UTI is a bacterial infection that happens when bacteria invade the urinary tract system. (Urinary tract consists of the kidneys, bladder, ureters, and urethra.)
The bacteria multiply throughout the urinary track system.
Nearly half of all women will have at least one UTI in their lifetime, while many women suffer through several infections throughout their lifetime.
Baking soda and water may be able to help ease the symptoms of a UTI, including pain and burning during urination.
Your baking soda mixture should contain 1 cup of cold water and 1 tsp. of baking soda. Thoroughly mix the baking soda and water together. Baking soda is an alkaline compound that can help to decrease the acidity of your urine. Acidic urine is what causes pain and burning during urination with a UTI.
Be advised that Baking soda and water is not a substitute for conventional treatment of a urinary tract infection.
