Nationwide Baby wipe recall [VIDEO]
by Toshiba Reynolds

Nationwide Baby wipe recall [VIDEO], A nationwide voluntary product recall at the retail level of all lots of baby wipes under the brand names Cuties, Diapers.com, Femtex, Fred's, Kidgets, Member's Mark, Simply Right, Sunny Smiles, Tender Touch, and Well Beginnings has been initiated by Nutek Disposables, because some packages may contain bacteria.

These wipes were distributed by Nutek prior to October 21, 2014 to the following retail stores: Walgreens, Sam's Club, Family Dollar, Fred's, and Diapers.com.

The wipes may contain bacteria called Burkholderia cepacia, or B. cepacia.

Complaints of odor and discoloration and a single report of irritation first alerted the company to a possible issue and microbial testing confirmed the presence of bacteria.

B. cepacia poses little risk to healthy people, but those with weak immune systems or chronic lung problems are susceptible to infection. B. cepacia is usually resistant to antibiotics.

For more information, contact Nutek at 1-855-646-4351. Anyone who thinks they used the products and has concerns about possible health problems should call their doctor.
