Corey Haim Dies At Age 38
by Staff

He was so young. Actor Corey Haim died at age 38.

Corey Haim's mother is still struggling to come to terms with the actor's death and often pretends he is filming on location in a bid to combat the grief.

The former child star passed away on 10 March, 2010, from a combination of heart problems, pneumonia and blood flow issues.

Judy Haim has been left devastated by the passing of her 38-year-old son, and admits she sometimes creates fantasies, tricking herself into thinking that he's still alive.

She tells Entertainment Tonight Canada, "It's harder for me because, as you know, I lived with Corey… and we've spent so much time together, and we've done so much stuff together, and we went on holidays together. It's, like, mindboggling… I do pretend sometimes that he's on location somewhere.

"I have my good days. And… all of a sudden I'm getting this wave that's, like, impossible to deal with."

She also reveals Haim, whose life was blighted by addiction issues, was a tower of strength when she was battling cancer.

She adds, "He was awesome, he was really petrified, he was really scared. When they said, 'You have cancer, you have breast cancer,' he tried to make light of it. He was there, holding my hand, he went to every single doctor with me, he went through the chemo with me."
