Actress Jaime Pressly has avoided jail after striking a plea deal with prosecutors over her January DUI arrest.

The Joe Dirt star was almost three times over the legal limit when she was booked.

Pressly was charged with two counts of driving under the influence and driving with a blood alcohol level of .08 or higher.

TMZ.com reports the first count has been dropped after she agreed a deal with prosecutors; she pleaded no contest to the second count on Thursday and was placed on probation for three years.

Recently rapper DMX was arrested again. Embattled rapper Dmx was arrested on Wednesday - just one month after he walked free from prison for a probation violation.

The hip-hop star, real name Earl Simmons, was released from an Arizona state prison on 19 July after serving seven months behind bars for violating the terms of his probation following an arrest last November.

However, DMX's legal woes continued this week when he was pulled over by authorities for allegedly speeding, according to TMZ.com.

The rapper was found to be driving on a suspended license and was then booked on that charge as well as for speeding and reckless driving.
