White Michael Vick Photo: ESPN Photoshops Vick For Story
by Mitch Marconi

ESPN is getting some major backlash after turning a picture of African-American Eagles quarterback Michael Vick into a Caucasian person. The picture is so disturbing and so unusual that honestly, I'd have to say he looks more alien than human.

The picture was attached to an article discussing whether or not Vick would be treated different in the NFL if he were white. Obviously the photo was used to get the media's attention however, its angered many NFL fans and people who don't follow the sport.

ESPN at first took the photo down but then put it back up. The story was written by Toure. One passage from the article written has been stirring it up:

"All of that is why, to me, Vick seems to have a deeply African-American approach to the game. I'm not saying that a black QB who stands in the pocket ain't playing black. I'm saying Vick's style is so badass, so artistic, so fluid, so flamboyant, so relentless -- so representative of black athletic style -- that if there were a stat for swagger points, Vick would be the No. 1 quarterback in the league by far."

So what do you think? To see a bigger photo go here. (c) tPC
