Reese Witherspoon was worried she would never find a man who would accept her children after she got divorced.

The Oscar-winning actress - who has two children, Ava, 11 and Deacon, seven, with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe - was concerned no guy would ever want to get close to her because of her personal situation until she met her current spouse, Hollywood agent Jim Toth.

She said: "You know, somebody close to me once said, 'Oh, no man will ever accept your children. And I just thought it was the most horrifying thing someone has ever said to me in my entire life. I was determined to find somebody who would make that not true."

In an interview with Marie Claire magazine, she said: "I think Nora Ephron says in one of her books, 'You know, don't kid yourself, divorce is really hard on your children. It's really hard. Children will not be better for it. I mean there are extenuating circumstances. I'm sure everybody's life is different, so I shouldn't say that. But it's really traumatic."

Newlywed Reese Witherspoon appears to be interested in buying Brad Pitt's craftsman beach home in Malibu, California. The actress and her husband Jim Toth visited the for sale property on Sunday (28Aug11), according to X17online.com.
