Edgar Hoover unsuccessfully tried to prove in the mid-1960s that the man on the film was either John F. Kennedy or Robert F. Kennedy  - but you never see the man's face in the tape.

The film would eventually be given to the FBI by an informant in the 1960s and he gave the original to the FBI after making a copy.

The copy was sold by his son to Keya Morgan of New York.
