Photo: Lithuanian Frank Zappa Sculpture To Be Erected In Baltimore
by Staff

Rock legend Frank Zappa has been immortalised in the form of a bronze sculpture - for the second time.

In 1995, a group of Lithuanian artists erected a bust of the rocker in Vilnius, the capital city of the former Soviet Republic.

Now, the same group has given a replica of the statue to the late star's hometown of Baltimore, Maryland.

Arturas Baublys, a public relations consultant for the city, says, "It's carved already, and it's ready to be shipped to the U.S."

A public art commission has voted unanimously to accept the gift and will figure out later where to place it.

Zappa died in 1993 from prostate cancer at the age of 52. (c) WENN
