A-Rod's beautiful wife and mother to his children, Cynthia Rodriguez, is telling all about Alex Rodriguez's weaker side - and how he passed out during the birth of their first child!

Alex Rodriguez, who is one of, if not the best baseball player in the American League, isn't quite as fearless and strong as he is on the field - that according to his wife, who's letting the cat out of the hat!

Apparently, Alex was a wreck the entire time Cynthia was pregnant: "As tough and big as he seems, he is real wimpy around doctors or any type of medical situation."

And when Cynthia was in labor, Alex was the one getting all the attention: "I was, like, not even having a baby; he was the one. The one nurse had a cold cloth on his head, the other nurse had the blood pressure on his arm and my mother was like rubbing his back -- and he is passed out on a couch."

"And I am there, in the middle of labor, and really, I am not being paid much attention to besides the doctor and a couple of nurses. And he is there, moaning. In between pushing, I am going, 'Honey, are you OK?' And are you breathing? Are you OK?'"

So Alex stole his wife's baby thunder on Nov. 18, 2004, when their first daughter was born - so the story goes.
