Nude Scans: Gina Gershon Denies Bill Clinton Affair
by Mitch Marconi

Actress Gina Gershon's representative has slammed a new article that suggests she had an affair with former U.S. president Bill Clinton.

The July (08) issue of the magazine features a report by journalist Todd S. Purdum, in which he alludes to Clinton's infidelity following his recovery from heart surgery in 2004.

The article goes on to insinuate that Clinton made frequent stopovers in California to "visit" Gershon.

But the Face/Off star's spokesperson Mara Buxbaum has blasted the story and is demanding her client's name be removed from the piece.

She fumes: "Todd Purdum's insinuation is a lie and is irresponsible journalism. We are demanding a retraction."

Clinton has also responded to the allegations, branding Purdum "dishonest" and "slimy" for suggesting he has continued to cheat on his wife Senator Hillary Clinton, who is running for president in the November 2008 elections, reports WENN.

Clinton was caught having inappropriate relations with White House intern Monica Lewinsky in 1998, while he was still in office.

In the article entitled "The Comeback Id," writer Todd Purdum has alleged that former President Bill Clinton was "seeing a lot of women on the road" and "running with a fast crowd."

He also has claimed that the former president's behavior was getting so out of control that an assistant considered an intervention, write our friends at BittenandBound.com.

The article focuses primarily on Bubba's relationships with women, including actress Gina Gershon, billionaire Belinda Stronach, and a "female friend" in Chappaqua.

"Recent high-end Hollywood dinner-party gossip that Clinton has been seen visiting with the actress Gina Gershon in California." Todd Purdum says in his article on Bill Clinton.

It should be noted that Todd Purdum admits that there is "no evidence" to back up his claims and relies solely on Hollywood gossip, quoting Tinsel Town sources.

Clinton would respond by unleashing a "tirade" against the former New York Times reporter, calling him "sleazy," "dishonest," "slimy," and a "scumbag."

He also sent out a memo and called the piece "a tawdry, anonymous quote-filled attack piece" and "journalism of personal destruction at its worst."

The memo states:

RE: Vanity Fair Article on President Clinton
DATE: June 1, 2008

A tawdry, anonymous quote-filled attack piece, published in this month’s Vanity Fair magazine regarding former President Bill Clinton repeats many past attacks on him, ignores much prior positive coverage, includes numerous errors, and ultimately breaks no new ground. It is, in short, journalism of personal destruction at its worst.

Any balanced account of President Clinton's post-presidency - which other publications have referred to as one of "a great philanthropist;" the face of "the power of philanthropy" and "a major force in fighting the pandemic [HIV/AIDS]" - would recognize that the lion’s share of his work is his multi-million dollar charitable foundation, which works in almost 50 countries around the world. [The Economist, 9/23/06; Fortune Magazine, 9/7/06; The Wall Street Journal, 1/14/04] Vanity Fair, however, has chosen to publish thousands of words on former President Clinton, but to devote only a single paragraph to his enormous charitable accomplishments.

Clinton is no stranger to scandal after he was exposed for having an affair with Monica Lewinsky while she worked at the White House in 1995 and 1996.

These fresh allegations will do no favors for Hillary Clinton who is currently in a head-to-head battle with Barack Obama to become the candidate for the Democratic Party in the U.S. presidential election race.

Gina Gershon has appeared nude on film in several movies, most notably "Showgirls" with Elizabeth Berkely. See some screen caps here and here. Other photos here.
