Bristol Palin's pregnancy - Levi Johnston is the father of Bristol Palin's baby - and they have been dodging horrible rumors and reports ever since revealing there was a baby on the way.

Palin, who was named as Republican presidential hopeful John McCain's VP pick, said in a statement with her husband Todd that their daughter, Bristol, was five months pregnant and plans to keep the baby. 

"Our beautiful daughter Bristol came to us with news that as parents we knew would make her grow up faster than we had ever planned," the Palins said in a statement.

"As Bristol faces the responsibilities of adulthood, she knows she has our unconditional love and support."

'We're proud of Bristol's decision to have her baby and even prouder to become grandparents', the family statement said.

Sherry and Keith Johnston are the parents of Bristol Palin's boyfriend, Levi Johnston.
