Beyonce Knowles stunned at Friday night's (05Sep08) Fashion Rocks event in New York with her own fashionable rock.

The former Destiny's Child star showed off the $5 million (£2.7 million) wedding ring husband Jay-Z bought her after she became his wife in April (08).

It marked the first time the singer/actress appeared in public with the Lorraine Schwartz sparkler.

According to the jeweller, the huge ring features an 18-carat flawless diamond.

Beyonce and Jay-Z have still to publicly confirm they are man and wife after their highly private nuptials, but the singer's sister, Solange, recently referred to the rapper as her brother-in-law in a Tv interview.

The ring wasn't the only thing that sparkled about Beyonce at the Radio City Music Hall event - she performed a duet with Justin Timberlake and a tribute to blues singer Etta James, who she'll play in upcoming movie Cadillac Records

She also teamed up with Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, Fergie, Miley Cyrus and Rihanna, among others to perform a star-studded cancer awareness anthem, Just Stand Up, as part of the Stand Up To Cancer telethon, which took place at the same time as Fashion Rocks. (c) WENN
