Kanye West and his assistant were arrested yesterday after Kanye was busted at LAX commiting 'felony vandalism' against a photographer.

According to reports, Kanye West was arrested after allegedly attacking a photographer and breaking his $10,000 camera.

The photographer was trying to take pictures of Kanye at the American Airlines terminal when Kanye became confrontational.

Our friends at TMZ dish: Our photog then began videotaping the scene when Kanye's assistant grabbed our camera -- a struggle ensued and the assistant threw the video camera to the ground, breaking it. When Kanye realized our camera guy had videotaped the incident, he rushed our guy and yelled, "Gimme that f**king tape!"

Kanye was released from jail Thursday around 3:30 pm EST.
