Bikini and Strip Show On Ellen DeGeneres, Sarah McLachlan Calls It Quits
by Jack Ryan

Singer Sarah McLachlan is splitting from her husband of 11 years Ashwin Sood - who is also the drummer in her band.

Pamela Anderson attempted to steal attention away from U.S. volleyball champions by stripping down to a racy bikini on daytime tv.

McLachlan had no intention of announcing the split with her husband, but realised she couldn't hide their separation - as two songs on her upcoming album detail her heartbreak.

She says, "I'm separating from my husband, so these are the songs about that.

"I wasn't planning on saying anything but it's gonna come out at some point. I haven't said anything about it because I've been terrified to, but I figure... there's no good time to say it, so I just said it."

U Want Me 2 and Don't Give Up On Us will feature on her forthcoming greatest hits Lp Closer: The Best of Sarah McLachlan.

The couple - who have two daughters, Ann Sushil, six, and Taja Summer, 14 months - have not elaborated on reasons for their separation.

As far as pammy goes, appearing on the Ellen DeGeneres show in a skimpy white robe, Anderson sprung into action when the comedian host attempted to end her interview and go to a commercial break.

"Wait a second, is Misty May and those guys coming out?" the blonde bombshell interrupted, referring to fellow guests and Beijing gold-medallists Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh.

"I'm ready now," Anderson said, jumping out of her chair and stripping off to reveal a tiny black bikini.

The former Baywatch star, 41, twirled for the screaming audience. "I can't help myself," she said. NineMSN has more here including photos and video.
