MTV top live music video show 'Total Request Live', or 'TRL', is apparently going off the air after 10 long years of running.
According to reports, after a decade of pleasing music video viewers live from New York City, TRL is finally closing up shop.
TRL's executive producer said the show's final episode will air on Saturday as a two-hour special. What Saturday, you ask? Sometime in November, apparently.
Dlisted quips: TRL should have shut their doors in 2001 after Mimi's epic ice cream meltdown (clip below). Seriously, they would have ended on a high note. HIGH being the key word. I never understood the point of TRL until I watched Mimi go crazy on it. That's when I realized that the only TRL was born was to give us that moment. And for that, I thank TRL.
