Singer/actress Barbra Streisand has helped U.S. presidential candidate Barack Obama pull in a whopping $9 million (£4.8 million) after performing a rare show at a Democratic Party fundraiser.
The diva played a set at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Hollywood on Tuesday (16Sep08), where tickets cost $2,500 (£1,350) each.
A fundraising dinner held hours before Streisand's gig also pulled in the stars.
Actors Leonardo DiCaprio, Will Ferrell, Jodie Foster and Jamie Lee Curtis joined DreamWorks studio partners Steven Spielberg, David Geffen and Jeffrey Katzenberg to dig deep in their pockets to pay the $28,500 (£15,405)-a-head price tag to attend the meal. (c) WENN
