Scarlett Johansson and fiance Ryan Reynolds quietly tied the knot yesterday at a Canadian wedding outside Vancouver.

Reports say the happy couple exchanged vows with a small group of family and friends at what their rep has described as a "remote wilderness resort".

Johansson, who insisted she would have a private wedding, has not released wedding photos, or images of her wedding gown. Details were also withheld from the prying eyes of the press.

Reynolds had once been engaged to Canadian singer Alanis Morissette, while Scarlett once dated actor Josh Hartnett.

This is the first marriage for both.

Reynolds revealed he is eager start making babies with his new wife. "I do want a child at some point," he said. "I feel like I need to fulfill the genetic paradigm, the destiny of it all.'

Meanwhile, Scarlett recently said, "I believe in finding a soul mate. I’ve always been in monogamous relationships. I would never want to be in an open one. It’d be too awful."

Scarlett's brother works for the Barack Obama campaign, making the wedding a surprise as it was rumored she would wait until after the election to tie the knot.

Johansson was spotted shopping for a wedding dress as early as March of this year with her mom.

Many people don't know that Scarlett Johansson, who respects herself and claims she won't be doing any nude scenes, actually took her shirt off for the camera, at least according to Mr. Skin.

The "dirty list" for Scarlett reads: Match Point (2005  - letting guy rip off her shirt to reveal bra while making out; A Love Song for Bobby Long (2004) - topless covering nipples with fingers, in a car letting her boyfriend massage her between the legs (dvd deleted scene); Lost in Translation (2003) - sleeping and walking around in sheer pink panties.

The 23-year-old was seen with her mother and sister at the Monique Lhuillier boutique in L.A. last week (begs04Feb08), where they "stayed for a while" viewing a variety of gowns, according to the New York Post's gossip column PageSix.

However, it is also rumored that Stella McCartney, Beatle Paul McCartney's designer daughter, who also designed Madonna's wedding dress, created Scarlett's wedding confection.
