Ben Affleck targeting 'Arizona' directing job
by Mike Baron

Ben Affleck has reportedly expressed some interest in directing the true-life drama Arizona, reports Variety.

The Miramax film centers around the death of Arizona Republic investigative reporter Don Bolles in 1976.

Bolles was killed by a car bomb while investigating organized crime cases running state government.

Bolles' work was completed by journalists at the IRE (Investigative Reporters and Editors) group, which came to be shortly after his death.

Sheldon Turner (The Longest Yard) has been inked to write the screenplay.

Affleck is likely direct the story for Miramax, making it his follow-up to 2007's Gone Baby Gone.
