The first issue is to come out in March 2010. A little info has been given out; apparently the story will focus on a cowboy named Skinner Sweet who is a murderer and a bank robber. Apparently he is going to turn into a new breed of vampire. The story branches out to a woman who is going to be his first descendant, her name is Pearl.

This will be the first time Stephen king will go into comics. He already has a new book out on November 10th called 'Under the Dome'. The comic promise to be a fresh take on vampires, apparently that was a huge reason why King liked the idea so much to pen a few issues.

Stephen King was quoted with saying "I love vampire stories, and the idea of following the dark exploits of a uniquely American vampire really lit up my imagination. The chance to do the origin story-to be 'present at the creation'-was a thrill."

It should be interesting to see how the story fares with King and Snyder fans. (C) tPC
