A 21-year-old man has been charged with the murder of bright-futured UConn football player Jasper Howard.
According to Connecticut police, John William Lomax III, 21, has been charged with conspiracy to commit assault and the murder of Jasper Howard, who was stabbed at a University dance on October 18th.
While Lomax's defense attorney claims the suspect was trying to break up a fight that led to the stabbing of Howard, police have charged him with Howard's murder.
Police have also charged 20-year-old Hakim Muhammad with conspiracy to commit assault, and 21-year-old Jamal Todd, who sparked the fight by pulling the school fire alarm.
Lomax is being held on $2 million bond.
