With just days to live, sick little six-year-old Elena Desserich spent her last days writing and hiding notes telling her parents and sister just how much she loved them. She hid notes and drawings between books in bookshelves, behind china, in her backpack, in the corners of their dresser drawers, between photos stacked away in boxes. The parents said that they found hundreds of notes.

Elena's parents created a charity where all the proceeds will go to fight pediatric cancer; the charity is called 'The Cure Starts Now Foundation'.
In the notes a lot of them say 'I love you Mom, Dad and Grace.' The parents claim that even to this day they are still finding them. Her parents, Desserich and Brooke, are still holding onto to a sealed note they've never opened. They say it's because they always want to know there is one more note they haven't read yet. (c) tPC
