Fairbank Farms Ashville Beef Recall: A recent beef recall 545,699 lbs is in concern for E. Coli contamination. It's being reported that there are reportedly two people that could have died from the bacteria and several more sickened by infected beef.
The name of the company is called Fairbank Farms. Supposedly 28 people have been sickened with 18 of them coming from New England. In New Hampshire, a death from the possibly eating the beef is under investigation. E. coli can cause bloody diarrhea, dehydration, kidney failure; some of the symptoms could lead to death depending on your own health.
A list of places it went to: "Trader Joe's, Price Chopper, Lancaster and Wild Harvest, Shaw's, a unit of Supervalu, BJ's, Ford Brothers and Giant, a unit of Ahold, in eight states: New Jersey, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
According to Reuters, "Fairbank Farms announced the recall on Saturday. The beef was produced in mid-September and probably was labeled for sale before the end of the month, said USDA."
