Picked up my local newspaper not long ago, and was totally surprised to see a feel-good story on the front page. Those don't happen very often anymore.

Nothing special right? Wrong!
Matt Ziesel is going to be featured on ESPN's E:60 tonight (3Nov09), and is a football player with Down Syndrome that ran the big touchdown play in what may have been the game of his life.
The play Ziesel ran for the TD was designed just for him. Now granted, both teams were involved in making this happen, but the feat itself makes it so that it doesn't matter.
He did it.... when playing football would supposedly be the last thing one would expect a person with Down Syndrome ever to accomplish.
Being the parent of a person with Down Syndrome, this just further made me believe that anything can happen. There should be no limits put on anyone if they want to try and accomplish something they love in life.
My daughter surprises me nearly everyday...and she is 30-yrs old! Things and perspectives change with her all the time. So needless to say, life is never boring in our house.
BTW....there is a YouTube video of Matt Ziesel's TD run. From what I understand it has been viewed by over 300,000 people. Wanna see it...? Watch below! (c) tPC
