But after over-eager producers hyped it as a debate instead of a discussion, pushing it as the 'hottest ticket' in the political world, the event was cancelled, reports the NY Post.
Bush and Clinton notoriously became quite friendly once they both left office, and agreed, as part of a series called "Minds That Move The World," to put their heads together and produce some thoughts on a wide range of current political issues.
But when word spread like wildfire that the event was being billed as a "debate deathmatch", but there is no word as to which of the former presidents pulled the plug. Perhaps it was a case of mutual agreement?
