Judge Howard Owens of the Bridgeport Superior Court dissolved the 26-year marriage as a "no fault" on Monday.
Nantz and his wife split after "years of marriage counseling" which was clouded by the fact that Nantz had begun an affair with a younger woman earlier in the marriage, which naturally didn't help the already shaky situation.
But the judge did not find Nantz's brief affair to be the core reason for the Nantz marriage breakdown.
Under the ruling, Nantz must pay $72,000 in alimony monthly until he dies or his ex-wife remarries, and another $1,000 weekly in child support for the next two years, reports the Detroit News, as well as pay for his daughter's college education and expenses, and to keep his wife on their life insurance policy.
The split is amicable, with both parties agreeing they had "just grown apart." (c) tPC
