Who knew soccer could incorporate elements of the WWE? New Mexico Lobo soccer team player Elizabeth Lambert showed the world just how tough and ruthless she can be when in the midst of a game. If you love seeing women fight, just watch the clip below. You'll see her punching, smacking, pulling, and kicking a ball in the other women's face.
Soccer is somewhat of a contact sport to a degree, but by no means is it full out like football. Elizabeth Lambert performed some not so nice acts on her opponents. For instance, when she thought no one was looking she grabbed a girl's hair and pulled it extremely hard to the floor. In another clip, she punched the back of one of the defenders. She looked to have purposely kicked the soccer ball into the face of a fallen player. Probably the worst play was when she was trying to get the ball and started swinging madly striking her opponent in the face several times. Ouch!
Lambert only got 2 yellow cards the whole game. After fans and officials saw the footage of what she was doing, she was immediately suspended indefinitely from the New Mexico Lobo women's soccer team. Not only that but she is not even allowed to practice with the team.
A statement by Lambert read according to KRQE.com, "I am deeply and wholeheartedly regretful for my actions," Lambert said. "My actions were uncalled for. I let my emotions get the best of me in a heated situation."
Do you think she got the right punishment? (c) tPC
