Haley Joel Osment, The Sixth Sense star, is reportedly recovering in a California hospital after being involved in a car crash. Osment suffered a fracture to his right rib, right shoulder and lacerations to his body.
L.A. County Sheriff's Department reps report that the actor lost control of his Saturn station wagon at approximately 2am PDT yesterday morning near La Canada Flintridge.
Osment reportedly crashed into a brick mailbox, causing his car to roll onto its roof.
According to reports, the 18-year-old Osment was the only passenger in the vehicle.
Eyewitness reports indicate the crash was so severe that one witness said, "I thought it was a fatality at first."
Osment is expected to spend an additional night in hospital, but is expected to make a full recovery. Authorities are awaiting test results to determine if alcohol or drugs played any part in the accident, reports WENN.
