The tip apparently amounted to 60% of the bill, which came to $500 after eating out with her assistant, mother and two other friends at New York Italian restaurant Lavo.

It was claimed that the singer also left a positive message to the waitress. According to Music Rooms, she wrote: "You were amazing and make this world a better place, Love Jess."

The 30-year-old, recently engaged to Eric Johnson, reportedly ordered a 18-year-old single-malt Scotch whisky, which she consumed along with a veal parmigiano and fried Oreo cookies.
