Actor Nick Stahl’s wife has called off a search for the missing actor, begging the troubled star to return home when he’s ready.

Stahl, who has battled ongoing drug issues, walked out of the California treatment center earlier this month and went to stay at a friend’s house, but he has since vanished again. He was last spotted on 14 June.

But his his estranged wife Rose – the mother of Stahl’s young daughter Marlo – has opted to end her quest to track the fallen star down, telling TMZ.com, “I’m backing off. He knows exactly where home is. It’s the loving thing to do for him, myself and our daughter.”

The couple, which wed three years ago this month, separated in January.
