COOL! Slow-Mo Bridge Explosion Video In Controlled Demolition Goes Viral
by Maria Gomez

The footage of this incredibly orchestrated controlled implosion of the US-377/SH-99 Washita River Bridge in Oklahoma is the finest slow-motion demolition of American infrastructure you will ever likely see.

The destruction of the bridge with 600 pounds of explosives is so pleasurable to watch that it garnered the videographer, Eric Leslie, a GoPro Award.

Due to unrepairable flood damage, the time had come for the bridge's destruction. Complete with blues harmonica and menacing drones. The demise of this bridge is awe-worthy. Every bridge deserves an execution similar to this one.

There will be no trips over the Washita River until a new and improved replacement is built for US-377/SH-99.
